Sewage engineering
Shredding unit
The shredding technology consists of rotary pumps and a wet shredder and was specially developed for use in the biogas field. The unit homogenizes solid materials such as grass, turnips, corn, rape seed and sewage together into a fluid component and feeds it into the fermenter. Solid materials such as manure or hay are run through the shredder and optimally reduced in size. Rocks and metal bits that accidentally get into the unit are retained in the so-called heavy-materials settling tank to keep the machine from getting damaged. The attached pump feeds the fluid mixture into the fermenter.
